Hey everyone, it's been a while since I last posted. Obviously, since I'm not doing the L2 this upcoming June I haven't been studying much at all so the posts have followed suit. As for what I've been up to recently, although I haven't been studying, I've stayed sharp by practicing a lot of the techniques I learned in L1 by day trading options and futures and also poring thru some financial statements and prospectuses of companies/ETF's/mutual funds I consider for investments. It's amazing how much that experience has really opened my eyes, I'm such a more savvy investor now than I was before. I hestitate to call myself "smart money" but I get the sense of what separates the people who make money in the markets and those that lose it. I've gotten better at technical analysis and I have a pretty good sense of when the market is going to move and in what direction. Not always right but it beats the guesswork most people do.

I plan on updating the Secret Sauce document, mostly to include stuff I posted on the blog that I didn't include within the document itself. I also have to do some site maintenance and sort out the template issues I ran into a few months ago. I'll probably register the domain name as well.

Enough about me, right about now is when you're probably starting to worry about whether you can pass or not. You should have finished the curriculum by now and I hope you've identified weak points that you'll need to drill on. This last month is all about testing testing testing and oh yeah more testing. That is how you're going to start crystallizing the material in your head enough to pass on exam day. Do not worry at this point. I highly recommend taking a mock exam right now this weekend. Don't even bother reviewing for it, just see how you'll do without any serious review beforehand. Aim for 50%. If you get around that number you're in good shape with a month left.

I'll probably update the document within the next week and I'll up the pace of posts this next month, put some motivational material for you and some other resources I found helpful. Shoot me emails if you have questions, or just need some encouragement. This next month SHOULD BE BRUTAL for you. If it's not painful, if you're not putting in enough time. You want it to be the worst month of your life so that when you walk out the exam, it's the best day of your life. Sounds vicious, but trust me, go into this review month with that hellweek mindset and you'll be ok.
